On April 18th and 19th, 2025, I had the joy of participating in the Bullseye Black Market at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church—a vibrant community gathering that blended culture, commerce, and connection in the heart of Houston.
The event brought together passionate Black-owned businesses and community members in celebration of creativity, entrepreneurship, and collective empowerment. It was an honor for Serenique Scents to be part of this intentional space, offering a sensory pause for guests to explore our line of luxury home fragrance and wellness essentials.
From the moment the doors opened, the energy was electric yet grounded. Shoppers stopped by our booth to sample our hand-poured soy candles, aromatic room sprays, and more. Conversations flowed about self-care rituals, the power of stillness, and how scent can serve as both a comfort and a catalyst for healing.
One of the most beautiful parts of the weekend was witnessing first-time customers become part of the Serenique family—sharing their own stories, reflections, and love for the intentional experience we create.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by, supported, and shared a moment of serenity with us. And to the team at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church and the Bullseye Black Market, thank you for curating such a powerful weekend of purpose and community.
Until next time—stay grounded, stay glowing, and never stop creating moments of pause.
With gratitude,
Michi Slaughter
